Self Defence Central Dojo

My son has had such a fantastic experience with Andre and the team of Senseis at SDCD, Andre and his team are an amazing group of men training, mentoring and passing down the long standing self-defence techniques of traditional Japanese Jui-Jitsu. I can't recommend the martial art style and SDSC enough. All the best SDSC.

My son has attended SDCD for almost 8 years and it’s been the best thing he could have committed to! The teachers & training are world class, and everyone is super friendly…my son says he’ll never quit JiuJitsu, I think that says it all!

Have been going to this dojo for almost two years and all instructors are very professional and patient, as well as very supportive throughout your self defence journey. If you want to learn true traditional Japanese Jujutsu, I highly recommend this place, the skills they teach are highly practical and valuable.

Our son has been training at this dojo for the past 6 years since he was 5 and we wouldn't go anywhere else. Located in Osborne park, the dojo is very central and easy to access. They are inspired by a sense of Japanese tradition - an intimate dojo, walls lined with weapons and a deep respect for the art makes it a perfect setting for learning. The Senseis here hold a high level of knowledge and strike the perfect balance of discipline and patience when training their students. Over the years we have observed the way they train people of all levels and demographics and the quality and level of engagement is outstanding (our youngest tried out recently and he was kept remarkably engaged). As the older more experienced students move up belts, they are also encouraged to help instruct younger students, strengthening their learnings. They offer one on one and also small group training (in addition to class training) and the cost is very reasonable for the high quality of instruction you receive. We cannot speak highly enough of Self Defence Dojo. Dan, Andre, Anil and the team of instructors are brilliant and we hope to see both our sons keep up with this sport into their adulthood.

They offer a very comprehensive self defence system and even show you how to deal with attacks that you never thought anyone would use against you. It is a great system for people of all ages and abilities.

My son has enjoyed his time at Andrei and his teams dojo - Japanese Jujitsu is a fantastic artform and we have loved seeing him develop both skills and a positive mindset around this martial art. I recommend to anyone looking to gain skills for themselves or their kids.Well done guys.

My daughter enjoys her sessions at Self Defence Central Dojo. Lessons are a great confidence booster, they help build self-discipline and respect towards others. Senseis are friendly, knowledgeable and down-to-earth.

The learning and supportive environment Dan, Andre and Anil provide my two boys over the past 5+ years has allowed each on them to grow in confidence and capability, at their own pace, through a balance of fun and discipline!!

I’ve been training with Self Defense Central Dojo for roughly 6 years now since I was 15, and in that time I have learnt so much on how to defend myself and enjoyed every training session I’ve been to and it’s because the instructors are genuine people who are great to have a laugh with but also like to train hard and teach techniques properly and like to see you progress with refined techniques.It is a great community of people and they are all very supportive I would recommend Self Defense Central Dojo to anyone who’s thinking about starting a martial art, we would be happy to have you.

I have had nothing short of a briliant experience with Self Defence Central Dojo. Amyone can develop themselves in an excellent culture with fantastic instructors and students. As someone who came in with no previous experience, in my time with them I have improved my fitness, mentality, and confidence through learning a wide range of defences that are extremely effective in a range different situations.The prices are the best I have seen for what you get, and it gives students options for both classes and PT sessions to fit in with your schedule.If you have ever wanted to take up a martial art or learn self defence I cannot recommend Self Defence Central Dojo highly enough. 5 stars.
